Focus Hotel - Sursee

The location was super convenient, just a short walk from the train station and downtown. The modern decor felt fresh, and the staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Sursee felt authentic and not like a tourist trap 😊

Train tracks running next to the hotel led to noticeable noise, especially with the windows open. Once closed, it diminished significantly. That's something to keep in mind, particularly if you're a light sleeper.

Convenient Location and Modern Feel

I loved how close the hotel was to Sursee train station, just a short 6-7 minute walk away, including a quick trip to Lucerne. The modern decor felt fresh and cute, and breakfast had a good selection that kept us satisfied each morning. It was also a nice touch how the town felt authentic, filled with local Swiss culture rather than being overrun by tourists. On the downside, I did notice some noise from the train tracks next to our room during the first night when the windows were open, but it got much better once we closed them.

The hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the highway. the rooms were stylish, clean, and quiet, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. We also appreciated the comfortable beds and great shower, which were perfect after a long day of exploring the city.

the breakfast buffet was quite basic, and the open-plan layout meant that we were often exposed to coughing and other unwanted noise from other guests.

Some of the rooms face busy railway tracks, so light sleepers may need to use the complimentary earplugs provided. The decor in the rooms may not be to everyone’s taste, but everything is clean and brand new.
